In the spirit of the season, Good Deeds America is proud to share a heartwarming story that unfolded this morning, thanks to the generosity of Per Niente. This inspiring act of kindness took place in support of families who recently sought asylum from Ecuador, facing both heartbreak and challenges in their new journey.
An Italian-American Heritage Magazine, Per Niente with a heart for making a difference, took it upon themselves to deliver holiday presents to the children of two families who have recently sought asylum in the United States. These families, two brothers and their wives with children, undertook an arduous journey, traveling by bus and foot through the challenging jungle path in South America to reach safety in the United States.
Tragically, one of the brothers, who worked as a roofer to make ends meet, lost his life in a work-related accident on Thanksgiving. This unexpected loss not only left his wife and two children devastated emotionally but also created financial struggles as the brothers pooled their income to support their families.
A Surprise Full of Love: This morning, in a gesture filled with love and compassion, Per Niente surprised the children with Christmas presents. The joyous occasion also included a box of essential food items and a generous $1,000 donation to help the families navigate through this critical period in their lives.
Community Support: The surprise was made even more meaningful with the presence of Jessie Bejarano, a local Hispanic church pastor, who served as an interpreter and provided solace to the families through heartfelt prayers.
A Message of Hope: As we reflect on this touching act of kindness, Good Deeds America extends gratitude to Per Niente for their compassionate efforts.
It serves as a powerful reminder of the impact a small act of kindness can have, especially during the holiday season.
Conclusion: This story embodies the true spirit of Good Deeds America – a collective effort to spread joy, compassion, and support to those who need it most. As we celebrate the season of giving, let this heartwarming tale inspire us all to be agents of positive change in our communities.
